Integration of Vocational and Academic Subjects in NIOS: A Complete Guide

Introduction

The National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) has taken a significant step towards skill-based learning by offering integration of vocational and academic subjects. This initiative empowers learners to gain practical skills alongside academic knowledge, enhancing employability and real-world competence.

What Is Integration of Vocational and Academic Subjects?

NIOS allows learners of Stream-1 (Secondary & Senior Secondary) to select one vocational course along with their academic subjects. These vocational subjects are treated as academic subjects for fee calculation and certification purposes.
