The Rajasthan High Court nullified that clause in 2021.
The Supreme Court upheld this in August 2023, making B.Ed. holders ineligible for future primary teacher appointments — unless they complete the bridge course.
In April 2024, the Supreme Court ordered that:
- Teachers appointed prior to August 11, 2023 would not be removed.
- But they must complete the Bridge Course within one year or risk invalidation of their appointment.
