What is TMA in NIOS?
NIOS (National Institute of Open Schooling) provides a flexible learning system for students across India. One of the most important components of this system is the Tutor Marked Assignment (TMA), which forms part of the Internal Assessment (IA).
-
Weightage: TMA carries 20% marks in each subject.
-
Public Exam: Remaining 80% marks are from the written exam.
-
Compulsory: TMA submission is mandatory for all students in Stream-1. Without TMA, results are declared only on exam performance.
👉 TMAs are designed to check students’ progress, help in regular study, and provide feedback for improvement.
