“NIOS TMA Guide” Tutor Marked Assignments (TMAs) are a very important part of NIOS studies. They are compulsory for all students and carry marks that are added to your final results.

What is a Tutor Marked Assignment (TMA)?

TMAs are handwritten assignments based on your syllabus. They:

How to Write TMAs Properly?

✅ Use A4 ruled sheets
✅ Write with blue or black pen only
✅ Mention the following on the front page:

• Student Name

• Enrollment Number

• Subject Name & Code

• TMA Year/Session (e.g., April 2025)

• AI (Study Centre) Name & Code

✅ Attach printed question paper on top
✅ Write answers neatly, number the questions clearly
✅ Use headings, underline key points

How to Submit TMAs?

For Public Exams (April/October):

NIOS TMA Guide – You need to upload scanned PDFs of your handwritten TMAs on the NIOS dashboard.

Steps:

1. Visit: https://sdmis.nios.ac.in

2. Login with your credentials

3. Go to “TMA Upload” section

4. Select subject and upload your scanned answer sheet (PDF only)

5. Submit and confirm

📝 One file per subject. File size limit: usually 1–2 MB.

Last Date for TMA Submission

• For April Exam: Submit TMAs by 31st January, 2026

• For October Exam: Submit TMAs by 31st July, 2026

Late submission is not accepted, and missing TMAs may reduce your total marks.

Can I Submit TMAs Offline?

NO. From recent sessions, NIOS only accepts online scanned uploads of handwritten TMAs.

• Uploading typed or copied content

• Poor image quality while scanning

• Missing cover page details

• Not attaching question paper

• Uploading after the last date
