What Happens If I Don’t Submit TMA?

Many NIOS students think TMA is optional, but that’s a big mistake. The Tutor Marked Assignment (TMA) carries 20% weightage in each subject. If you don’t submit it:

1. Your result will only be based on the final exam (80%).

2. You lose the chance to score easy internal marks.

3. Your overall percentage and division may go down.

4. For some courses, TMA is mandatory to get a Pass Certificate.

👉 Example: If you score 33/80 in exams but no TMA marks, you may fail (since you didn’t meet 33% overall).

TMA Deadlines (2025–26)

• March/April 2026 Exam → Submit between 1 Nov 2025 to 31 Jan 2026

• Oct/Nov 2026 Exam → Submit between 1 Apr 2026 to 31 Jul 2026

Late submission with ₹1500 per subject fee is possible, but not recommended.
