List of Practical works :
- To cut a Glass tube of desired length.
- Explain the meaning of the terms saturated solution, standard solution and dilution, use proper glassware to prepare solutions of different dilutions, prepare solutions of given concentrations by dilution.
- To prepare a sol of starch, prepare a sol of ferric hydroxide and explain the properties of sol of aluminium hydroxide, starch and ferric hydroxide.
- Define enthalpy of neutralization, classify various acids and bases as strong or weak acids and base, observe changes in temperature during neutralization of an with an base, explain the significance of enthalpy of neutralization.
- Perform dilution of the solutions using measuring cylinder, compare the intensity of colours in two solutions visually, predict the direction in which the equilibrium will shift if the concentration of any reactant is increased or decreased, predict the direction in which the equilibrium will shift, if concentration of any product is increased or decreased.

- Explain the meaning of Qualitative Analysis, Handle properly the chemicals and regent bottles in the chemistry laboratory, Perform simple experimental operations such as heating, testing of gas evolved, filtration and washing or residue etc. observe the appearance / disappearance of colour, precipitate, turbidity etc. in reaction mizture, acquire an elementary idea of the presence of an anion or cation in the salt by carrying out dry test and perform preliminary and confirmatory test of anions and cations and analyses the given salt.
